Hello! My name is Ritik, and I am a second-year Ph.D. student in mathematics at the University of Connecticut. I earned my Master’s degree in December 2025 en route to my Ph.D. Before UConn, I studied applied mathematics at Fordham University, graduating summa cum laude in Spring 2024.
While at Fordham, I participated in an REU project in Summer 2023 under the supervision of Han-Bom Moon, studying rational points on random affine hypersurfaces over finite fields. Using combinatorial methods, I later extended these results to more general affine varieties. In 2022, I also interned at Rogo, a finance/AI startup, where I supported early growth and training of internal models.
My current research interests are in number theory and machine learning. I have also worked on autoformalization and autoreasoning in Lean.
